April 30, 2024 (Honolulu, HI) – PIHOA is pleased to announce that applications are now open for both Public Health Fellows and Host Site Supervisors to join the next cohort of the Pacific Public Health Fellowship Program (PPHFP)!
Are you a new college graduate interested in and passionate about making a difference in people’s health in the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands (USAPIs)? Or, are you a health agency or program in the USAPIs that would like to train and mentor a Pacific Public Health Fellow to support your agency/program goals and encourage young people to enter the health workforce? If yes, the PPHFP is a great opportunity to join a dynamic community of expert practitioners and emerging health leaders dedicated to meeting the health needs of our USAPI communities.
As a Pacific Public Health Fellow, you will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on, front-line public health interventions, projects, and program delivery; train and collaborate with local and regional experts; be exposed to regional and international policy and decision-making forums; and develop invaluable public health and leadership skills to strengthen local health systems and capacities and improve the health of USAPI communities.
As a Host Site Supervisor, you will contribute to building a skilled and dedicated pipeline and cadre of young and emerging public health workforce and leadership who will support and continue your health agency and program goals for improved community health outcomes. You will also be provided opportunities to engage with local and regional experts and receive Host Site Supervisor training.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity!
Apply now and be part of an innovative and dynamic program that will shape the future of public health in the USAPIs.
