Later this month, our Strengthening Health Interventions in the Pacific (SHIP) Program staff and trainers will conduct Epi 826-02—Introduction to Health Information Systems training with our Kosrae cohort. The SHIP program aims to enhance epidemiology and surveillance in the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands by training health agency staff at all levels to become certified Epi Technicians and developing high-priority surveillance systems and health information components for these health agencies. This initiative builds local capacity to monitor better and respond to public health challenges.
